Jane Martin Joins William Means Real Estate

William Means is pleased to welcome Jane Martin, a seasoned realtor with over 20 years of experience as a business woman, attorney and real estate broker. While owning her own real estate firm in Michigan, she was involved in the development of the Bay Harbor community on Lake Michigan – a large-scale, New Urbanism project where she brokered $100’s of millions of dollars in real estate deals, including the sale of the highest priced waterfront lot and highest priced home.

Charleston has been a second home for Jane since she was a child. Her family’s property on Seabrook Island provided her the luxuries of beach living, boating in Lowcountry waters and exploring Historic Charleston. After receiving both undergraduate and law degrees from Michigan State University, she worked as an attorney with Buist, Moore, Smythe, & McGee here in Charleston before leaving for a high-profile legal position with General Motors.

Jane has now followed her heart home to Charleston. She lives in I'On with her daughter and is very active in the community, including serving as a volunteer at Charleston Day School, the Center for Women, and the Tate Center for Entrepreneurlism.
